Mission
Eurasian Holdings was founded in 2004 to manage a basket of potential startups
contributed by its early shareholders. The startups included industrial innovations
and real estate projects. Share liquidity was to be provided by a share listing.
First results
By 2007, several industrial startups were functioning commercially, and several real
estate situations had been optioned.
Banking crisis
In 2008 the banking crisis arrived, when the startups were still young and
requiring continued investment. Their customers all cut back on new programs and
cancelled orders they had placed.
Restructuring
By 2009 the situation became untenable and forced Eurasian to re-invent itself in a
new business model. As part of the reorganization, the existing industrial startups
were transferred to their entrepreneurs, subsidiary companies were closed, real
estate options were rescinded, and holding company costs were reduced to zero.
New activities
The restructuring work should be finished by summer of 2012. Since the crisis,
Eurasian has created a line of popular management and social tools for cities,
companies and organizations, which are grouped under the cheapersimpler.com
brand. These products are in the growing social interaction sector.
Shares
The cancellation of options and shares issued for the original basket means there
are now far fewer shares outstanding. For the remaining shareholders who are not
interested in the company's new activities, there is a program to find buyers for
their shares. The majority of shareholders, however, intend to keep their shares
and contribute to developing the company's new activities.
