ARCHENERGIA
Laboratorio architettura simbiotica
Gianni Contini
Mr. Contini is an inventor and designer with Sardinian, Tuscan and Brescian heritage. He has experience in
technical situations ranging from management of electro-technical commissions to illumination of famous
churches. He developed the Archenergia vision after studying the works of Galileo and Leonardo where many
of the basic concepts were already mentioned but were unrealizable with the engineering materials of the
times.

Backing
The Archenergia project was seed-financed by the Harrop incubator. It is receiving support from business
leaders in Italy.

The
Veliero Project (Arch:657)
Appearing at first sight utopian, the project is being developed into a viable alternative.
Of special interest is the simultaneous use of inertia (weight), flotation and compression to create energy.
This technique adds a new tool for architects and civil engineers who know that multiple energy producing
methods must be cumulated into a synergistic ensemble in order to make future buildings self-sustaining
(secondary energy sources such as wind-energy, bio and solar can be built into the design).
